I had a check up appointment today with Dr. Morse. I had no idea what to expect at this appointment, but my first stop was with the benefits coordinator (I guess that's what she's called) and we went over what my insurance would cover, blah, blah. Then I went in for my appointment. Everything seemed fine and she said that she wanted to try and hear the heartbeat. So we went into the sonogram room and I could see the baby and the heartbeat sounded perfect. Oh, that was so amazing. I was so excited, I really wanted to cry. I wish I would have known that I was going to get to do that today and I would have made Dale go with me. I called him right after that and told him about it, he told me that the baby must take after him if the heartbeat sounded that perfect!
Congratulations to Nick (Dale's cousin) and his wife Julie - they are also expecting and about the same time as Dale and I! I think it would be a great idea, Julie, to bring cards to the hospital so they can entertain themeselves! Best wishes to you both...it's going to be fun sharing this experience together.
