Bryce had his 4-month check up today. He weighed 15 pounds 8 ounces and is 24 1/4 inches long. He had to get 2 more shots and one oral medication...he's a little more fussy tonight than normal, but not bad.
The doctor said he was right on track for his age...doing everything he needs to be at this age. She said we didn't need to start giving him cereal until 6 months, unless he is wanting to eat more calories during the day/night. I got the instructions about cereal, but we'll just have to wait and see if he's going to want to start it before his 6 month check-up or not!!
The weekend looks like it's going to be nice, hopefully we'll get to spend a little time outside!! Yay, for April!!

Bryce is 4 Months Old
It's hard to believe that Bryce is 4 months old TODAY!!! He is growing and changing so fast. He has started grabbing for toys, liking tummy time a little more, rolling from his tummy to his back, trying to roll from back to tummy, and talking so much more. He had a rough week last week, not feeling the best, but he seems to be doing much better now!!!
We took his 4 month pictures yesterday, here are just a few of my favorites....
His Easter outfit...Dad's not crazy about the sweater vest, but I think it's adorable!
Excited for the Easter Bunny to come see him!!

I LOVE this picture!

Where's Bryce?? I think he was tired of picture taking!!

Oh yes, we have discovered that we can suck on our thumb!!

You probably can't tell from the pictures, but Bryce is slowing losing his full head of hair he once had. Dale is very upset about this, but I keep reminding him that it will all come back in and be super adorable soon!!
We are going to the doctor tomorrow, I will update everyone on what we learn there!!
Way to Go Tigers!!
Saturday the Tigers played in the Elite 8 against UCONN...as everyone already knows. They didn't win the game, but put up a great fight...there were times that everyone thought they just might do it. Bryce and I went to Mama and Papa's house to watch the game...I think Bryce had fun. He sure didn't know what to think when Papa started yelling at the TV, that's when we just brough him upstairs, where it was a little more quiet!!

Watching the game...sucking his thumb...oh, the life!!!
I decided to make Monster Cookies, which was a BAD idea. I think we ended up with 6 dozen cookies and a HUGE mess to clean up. But, the end result was yummy!

Play Time
We spent the day just hanging out around the house on Saturday. It was nice to get some things done and not have to go any where...from the looks of our calendar, that's not likely to happen for a few more weeks!
I had laid Bryce on the floor to play while I was looking for a cake recipe, for some reason I felt the need to bake! He was having a great time grabbing the toys above him and talking out loud, really enjoying himself! It got really quite in the house and when I turned around this is what I found...
He must have really played hard!
Last night Bryce was playing on the floor again, when I went to check on him he had found himself in the mirror!! It was so fun to watch him smile and talk to himself. Of course I wasn't quick enough to get a smile..but this is close enough!

This morning I held him up to the mirror in his room and he just looked at me and gave a big smile!!

Rolling Around
Bryce has started rolling over from his tummy to his back!! He rolled over for the first time Saturday March 14, but I think it was more gravity pulling him over than anything else. This past Saturday (the 21st) we were visiting my family and my mom laid him on his tummy and he rolled over and then did it 2 more times!!! I couldn't get him to do it again for Dale, but I tried last night and he was a rolling machine. He would roll over, I would put him back on his tummy, and he would roll again...probably about 5 times, just enough so I could capture the moment in picture for Daddy! These are the times I need a camcorder!
Starting Postion...really holding that head up
Going Over

And We're Over...
Now, just leave me here and I'm happy...no clothes on, playing on the floor!!

Around the Wassmann House
I know, I have been awfully bad about updating the blog here lately, but we are some busy people these days. The weather is sending us outdoors to play and we are enjoying it so much! So these 4 posts should get you caught up!
Yesterday we walked Rolling Hills with Melanie and Tyler...that was nice. I am enjoying this weather so much, I can not wait for it to continue on for days!! We have taken walks through the yard and around the driveway. I got us a new stroller that is working great for the outdoors and I can't wait to wear it out this spring/summer at fairs and cattle shows!! I will admit that I am also looking forward to opening the swimming pool. I'm just praying that the weather cooperates with us this year. We had a terrible time keeping a sparkling pool last year...it could have been the wore out pregnant woman trying to maintain it!! But I think I have researched it enough to know what we did wrong and what to do differently this year. We are looking forward to getting all the babies in the pool this summer!
Other great news...Dale and I bought a new bedroom set!! Ever since we moved into this house Dale has been begging for a King size bed. I just told him, that we couldn't get the bed unless we got the bedroom set, I was just tired of nothing matching. A little over a month ago, I was woke up with an elbow in my back and I just said that was enough we were getting a bigger bed - just the bed. So we went to a local furniture store and picked out the bed that we liked. Dale and I went to lunch and talked it over....then I went back down to the store to order the bed....we ended up with the entire set!! The color of the set is called Rich Merlot and I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to match the bed later if we wanted to, so I convinced Dale that we needed the whole set.
Isn't it beautiful.....

Oh, the sleep we get at nights! I can lay on one side of the bed and not even know Dale is there...it's heavenly!
We have a very busy month coming up...I will do my best in keeping everyone updated.

All About Bryce
I missed posting about Bryce turning 3 months old...he is growing and changing so much. He smiles so much more and is the happiest baby ever. We are greeted with big smiles each morning, no matter what time it is. We only hear him cry when he is tired or hungry. He is no longer on an eating schedule...we just go with the flow. Sometimes he goes 4 hours...sometimes its only 2 or 3 hours...I'm thinking he's ready for some cereal. He is sleeping through the night (YAY), about 9 hours. There have been a few nights when he has woke up, but if you give him the paci back he is fine.
Here is Bryce at 3 months!

We had his 3 month pictures taken at K&B Photo in Pilot Grove, so I don't have any of those to share. I think the pictures turned out really good...can't wait to see the 6 month shots. He is fascinated with his Daddy's voice...he could be sleeping in my arms and Dale will walk in and he will be wide awake in seconds. If he's awake and Dale talks he's looking around to find him. I guess he doesn't get enough Daddy time.
Hanging out with Daddy!
We got him a Baby Einstein video for Christmas and let him watch for the first time 2 weeks ago. He really likes it, it even put him to sleep one afternoon. He's only watched it a few times, I don't want him getting used to sitting in front of the TV!!

Bryce is also getting so much stronger with holding his head up. Here are a couple pictures of him playing in his bouncer/exersaucer....

Having a good time!

Bryce has his 4 month appointment on the 31st, we'll have to see how much he has grown!!
Happy St. Patricks Day!
Oh, These Cows
Dale has headed back to the field which means Bryce and I are enjoying some alone time at home. It's nice to be able to run around outside in the evenings and not have to fix supper or fight over the TV (only when the Biggest Loser and Jon & Kate are on)!! But you can bet that I will be blogging soon enough how we miss having Daddy at home!!

So last night after we got home from our walk I fixed myself something to eat and relaxed in the chair to watch the Biggest Loser...when I was cleaning up the kitchen I looked out the window to find a cow in the driveway. Great...again, they had already mastered crossing the cattle guard Monday morning. Dale must have fed at lunch and forgot to put the wire back across the cattle guard, so I looked out the bedroom window and saw 3 cows and 3 calves in my backyard. I called Dale, because I freak out about these things, and he said he had no problem getting them back in Monday morning just shaking a bucket. So I ran outside thinking it would be easy...wrong, they didn't care that I was there, they were eating the greener grass on the other side.
I couldn't get a hold of Dale again, so I called my dad and brother and they came to help me. I had to haul Bryce around with me (good thing it was warm outside)...it was 7:30ish and getting dark so I was really starting to freak out. Finally Dale was headed in our direction to help out. They ran away from us once, but followed the truck and made it back into the pasture. We put the wire back across the cattle guard. Awww....I was glad that was over with.
Oh, but wait....2 cows were determined to tear my yard up once more and either jumped or stumbled through the wire we put up and were in the yard again this morning. I guess we are gong to have to put up a pipe gate to keep them were they are supposed to be!! Until we can get that done, Dale's truck is parked blocking the cattle guard so the cows will have to stay where they are....for now at least!
A little bit hillbilly!!
The cows....where they are supposed to be!

Evidence they were in my yard!

The worse part....I missed about an hours worth of the Biggest Loser, someone is going to have to fill me in...I just need to know who ate cookies and who won the marathon????
