Happy Holidays!

I know I'm a few days behind schedule, but I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We were very blessed to share the holiday with all of our family. Unfortunately, my Grandpa was placed in the hospital just before Christmas. There is hope for him coming home today, but no guarantees.

Bryce had a awesome Christmas and was spoiled very much. I will be posting pictures soon...I have to get used to using my new Photoshop program that I got!!!

Happy New Year to everyone!

Pictures of the Holthus Boys!

Over the weekend I took on the challenge of taking pictures for a friend. I enjoy taking pictures of Bryce and have fun with it, but I have never taken pictures for someone else. I actually had a lot of fun and I think they turned out really good. With the permission of Lynn, here are a few of my favorite pictures from Sunday morning!

Sweet Brayden is going to be having surgery for his cleft pallet in early January! Our prays are with his family as they go through this time. I hope everyone else can remember them in their prays as well!
Thanks Lynn for asking me to take these pictures...I had a lot of fun!

Bryce's 12 month Accomplishments

Here is what Bryce is accomplishing at 12 months old!

**Walking...Everywhere! He really thinks he is cool being able to take off walking. We think it's pretty neat ourselves!

**Feeding himself. We can't feed him baby food anymore, he wants to eat off his big boy plate! He's trying to use the fork or spoon, but doesn't have the coordination.

**Taking a Sippy Cup of Milk. He only has 2 bottles a day now. He gets a little formula in the morning and then his bottle for bedtime. Soon he won't even want that bottle!

**Words he can say...momma, dadda, uh-oh...we're working on more. He makes sounds like he's trying to repeat words we say, but he's not there yet!

**Stairs...he has mastered crawling up and back down the stairs. He has tried being dare-devil and walk up the stairs, but he doesn't usually make it!

**Dancing...so many of the toys he got for his birthday have songs to go a long with them..it's cute to see him stomping his foot to the tune!

We are so proud of how much Bryce has grown and developed in his first year. We are looking forward to watching him grow in the next year!

Bryce's 1 Year Pictures

After 2 days...3 clothing changes...and some coaxing with a piece of PVC pipe...we were FINALLY able to get some 1 year pictures taken of Bryce! I had fun with these pictures, because I was actually able to edit them with Photoshop. I'm getting better and hoping Santa slips my very own Photoshop program in my stocking!

All dressed up in his Christmas Outfit!

Snuggling with his Rudolph!
Ready to lounge in his Christmas PJ's!

Just a Big Boy! Can you believe he's 1 year old - already?

Time to tear into that Birthday Cake!

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we have enjoyed taking them!

A Picture-less Update!

Just a quick update for all of my followers (and blog stalkers)!

The Wassmann house has been a very busy place..it seems as though we are coming and going so much, that it has become the place were we just sleep at nights! We are fast approaching a very busy holiday season, and well, its sure to be fun!

In the last few weeks, Bryce has spent a lot of time with his Dad. Dale finished the Harvest season on Bryce's 1st Birthday. He has been home, pretty much, every night since then and we are happy to have a "normal" schedule to follow! I have been gone a few evenings in the last few weeks for meetings or work and it has given them the chance to bond and spend some quality time together! I think they have both enjoyed the time.

The Christmas tree is up at our house! Bryce has been great and hasn't really messed with the tree at all. There are even a few gifts under the tree and I don't think he has even noticed them! We are excited about the Christmas season and have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. We are looking forward to an exciting New Year!

Bryce's 1 year and Christmas pictures will be coming soon....I promise! I have been busy editing the pictures each night. But I have a few of my very favorites that I will be posting very soon! Be looking for those!

I am guilty of not making our Christmas Cards this year...Walgreen's actually printed some very nice picture cards for everyone! I was given such a guilt-trip by a few people (*cough*...my husband) that some of our immediate family members and few close friends will be receiving a unique card from us....I'll post a picture of the completed card so no-one feels left out!

Dale, Bryce and I wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope everyone gets everything they wish for from Santa and that 2010 is just as good or even better than 2009!

Birthday Boy!

Yesterday (November 30th) was Bryce's 1st birthday! He was spoiled the day before with lots of presents and toys...but still had a fun day on his actual birthday!
Posing for me in his Birthday Boy shirt...I think he was about to fall over! Trying to get a little play time in before we left for the sitters!

I took off work a little early to have a little birthday party at the sitters! Bryce got to dig into another cupcake!
Yummy!

"Posing" with his friends at the baby sitters! I think they all enjoyed their cupcakes and m&m's!
That night we rode in the combine with Dale for a little while and then Bryce got to enjoy his 1st happy meal from McDonald's! We are excited to say that Dale is finished with Harvest for the year and we get to have him back at home at nights!

Bryce had a great 1st birthday, thank you to everyone for the gifts and birthday wishes!

An Old MacDonald Birthday Party

We celebrated Bryce's birthday one day early on Sunday. The house was full of family, friends and LOTS of little boys!
The invitation! I had a lot of fun making these invites, and I think they turned out pretty cute!
The Cake! I made this cake!!! Dale's mom came over and helped me with the icing, but for the most part I made the cake. I thought it turned out really cute!
Just a side view of the cake. Pretty cute!
All of the boys playing in Bryce's room before the party started. We had no girls there, just boys!
More play time! Bryce had helped himself to a blankie off the shelf!
Time to open presents! Bryce wasn't really excited about tearing into the presents, but he's pretty excited about getting to play with the toys!
Still holding on to one of his presents! Dale and I got him some John Deere Tractor slippers. He can actually wear them and still walk...I'm impressed!
Talking to all the guests at the party!
Lounging in his new chair from the Schuster Family! I think he likes it already!!
After we opened the presents, we went into the cake! I don't think Bryce knew what to think!

He first just picked the green "grass" off the top.
Then I cut a small piece out of the cake and he started digging in then!
Trying not to miss a bite!

He did a pretty good job at eating the cake!
Getting a quick wash-off from Grandma Teresa before going back to play with all his new toys!
Back to playing with all of his friends!
Aunt Erin reading him a book! We were glad to have her back to celebrate Bryce's 1st birthday.
Looks like he had a good time at his 1st Birthday party!
