Growing Up

Bryce has mastered the roll from his back to his tummy!! But he needs to figure out how to get back to his back when he doesn't like the tummy time anymore!

I don't have any good action shots of him rolling, but these are just a few cute pictures of him playing...

He likes to roll to his side and look in the mirror, we have found him numerous times just talking (and sometimes laughing) to himself in the mirror.

We have also made the switch from Rice cereal to Oatmeal...and boy does he like the Oatmeal!! He has also started chewing on a lot more, some days he's a little more irritable, so I'm wondering if there aren't some teeth trying to come in. He is growing up so fast and it's hard to believe that he is 5 months old today...I will have new pictures to post of him over the weekend!

Busy Days

The last month has been a busy time for us...notice the lack of posts! But here's a quick catch up post....

One evening we took a trip down the hill to help Daddy fix the mineral feeder for the cows. Bryce must have worked too hard, he crashed pretty hard that night!

The week after Easter was busy with me having work meetings, working in Columbia and then the weekend, well, lets just say everything landing on one weekend! I started my weekend with the Boonville FFA Preview Show, sponsored by the Booster Club. It was a nasty rainy day and it showed in the number of exhibitors we had. We hope that next years show is better! After the show we went to a friends wedding, Bryce stayed with Grandma Teresa, I didn't want to have to drag him out anymore than I had to that rainy day. After the wedding we all went back home and relaxed a little while before going to church again for Caden's Baptism! We had so much fun with the family and friends...Bryce was a little wore out that night!

Daddy's lap must be the best place to take a nap!
On that Sunday we celebrated Tyler's birthday! He turned 2 on the 20th...it is so much fun to see how much he has grown up in the last year.

Bryce enjoyed the present opening with Great Grandma Bernadine.
I think he is thinking...man, this is some craziness!

Just this week Bryce and I went and spent some time with the Holthus boys while Lynn mowed the grass. Chase and Parker were so excited to see Bryce, they had toys for him to play with and thought it was pretty neat that he cooed and somewhat interacted with them. They even got the chance to hold Bryce....all in preparation for Baby Boy Holthus #3 coming in July!!

Chase holding Bryce, he was a big help - once he needed help with a toy and I was busy feeding Bryce, so he held the bottle for Bryce while I worked on the toy!! He's going to be a great Big Brother.

Parker holding Bryce...pretty excited!

The month of May is BUSY BUSY BUSY...Erin will be graduating from MU on the 16th and Dustin will be graduating from High School on the 17th...we're going to have lots of celebrating to do!

Easter 2009

I know I am WAY behind...but here's a quick look at Bryce's First Easter.

We started our Easter celebration on Saturday with lunch at the Wassmann house. After lunch Bryce, Tyler and Cole headed outside for an Easter Egg Hunt. The 2 older boys were not interested in hunting the eggs that "didn't open"...they knew the surprise inside was nothing they wanted!

Bryce didn't seem to care too much about which eggs he got, he was just happy to be spending his time outside!

Bryce's basket of eggs from the hunt!
After the Egg Hunt the Easter Bunny stopped by Grandma Linda's house...Bryce really likes his duck he got!

The Easter Bunny stopped by our house to see Bryce (and mommy & daddy)!! He was pretty spoiled this year...
Bryce all smiles for the gifts he got!
Easter Sunday morning started extra early...we went to Sunrise Service at Billingsville Church. I always enjoy sunrise service, I think it really represents the Easter celebration.

My boys all dressed up and ready for church!

After sunrise service we went to 8:45 mass in Pilot Grove. We had breakfast afterwards and were able to sneak in a nap and movie before lunch at Great Grandma Anne's house! There, Bryce got to spend a little time with Isaac...of course we had to take a picture!

It was a long but very enjoyable day. Here is another picture of Bryce (Mommy's Little Jelly Bean) with all his Easter loot!

Just Hanging Out

Now that Bryce is getting stronger with holding his head up, we put the highchair together so he could spend some more time sitting up seeing things. He's been sitting in the kitchen while I'm making supper and then he sits at the table with us while we eat....all in hopes that he gets used to sitting at the table with us for dinner.

Playing with his toys while I'm fixing dinner

It's a little dark...but I'm thinking the thumb sucking is only going to get worse!! He put himself to sleep yesterday while sucking his thumb!!

CEREAL

Bryce started cereal on Saturday....and he is doing so good. The doctor said he could wait until 6 months, but he has been waking up during the night and wanting to eat more during the day, so we decided it was time to try something new!!

A little messy, but having a good time!Looks like he enjoyed it!
